The Robyn in Robyn's Nest

I thought my first blog should be an introduction to myself, the person behind the scenes at Robyn's Nest Hair Salon!

In case I hadn't made it obvious, my name is Robyn! I have been hairdressing since the moment I left school, well much before that really, unofficially! I used to plait the girls hair in the playground as early as primary school, it was always what I wanted to be and I never changed my mind, even when my secondary school teachers tried to convince me to strive for more. I always knew this would be a job that I would love, be passionate about and best of all never get tired of.

I did my hairdressing apprenticeship in a busy high street salon in Cheltenham and I haven't stopped since!

Robyn's nest is located in our garden, my lovely husband converted our garage to enable me to do what I love in a space built just for me (and you of course), he even gave up precious fishing kit storage to create what soon became Robyn's Nest Hair Salon! Thanks Ben!

It was always my plan to make everyone feel comfortable, I have learnt that going to a salon is not easy for everyone, a big, busy salon can be quite intimidating for many people. At my salon, you will always be greeted by me, and only me (well maybe some fluffy doggies too!) I will only ever have 2 people in the salon at one time, to ensure a calm and relaxed environment for all of my customers.

People always ask me what my favourite part of hairdressing is and honestly, I couldn't pick. I love all of it, I love cutting, colouring, styling, wedding hair, you name it and I enjoy doing it. What I do particularly love, is making people feel good about themselves. It is amazing what a difference a visit to your hairdresser can truly make. I am always honoured to have been chosen by my customers!
